Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Remove the core from the cabbage and slice it into thin strips. Steam or blanch for about five minutes until slightly tender; drain well.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Add onions and garlic; sauté until softened (about three minutes). Stir in diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning.
- Spread half of the cooked cabbage in the baking dish, followed by half of the meat mixture and a layer of cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove foil during the last ten minutes to allow cheese to bubble.
