Ingredients

Scale

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 ½ cups warm water (110°F)

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

4 cloves minced garlic

2 teaspoons salt

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).

In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a sticky dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered for an hour.

Punch down the dough, shape it into strips, and tie into knots. Place on a baking sheet.

Brush knots with melted butter mixed with minced garlic. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle Parmesan cheese or Italian seasoning on top before baking.

Serve with marinara sauce or pesto for dipping!
