  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This Dorito Taco Salad is a crunchy, savory delight featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and a tangy dressing. Perfect for casual dinners or potlucks, it’s a flavorful twist on a classic taco salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 4 cups shredded lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup corn (frozen or canned)
  • 2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Beef
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease, stir in taco seasoning and water as per packet instructions, and simmer until thickened.
  2. Prepare Vegetables
Wash and shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and rinse the black beans and corn.
  3. Assemble the Salad
In a large bowl, layer shredded lettuce, seasoned beef, diced tomatoes, black beans, corn, and shredded cheese. Top with crushed Doritos and a dollop of sour cream. Serve immediately for maximum crunch.

Notes

  • Customizations: Replace ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Dressing Options: Swap sour cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter dressing or mix sour cream with salsa for added flavor.
  • Serving Suggestion: Serve immediately after assembling to keep the Doritos crispy.
