Ingredients
- Tortellini: 2 cups, fresh or frozen (cheese-filled preferred)
- Non-alcoholic smoky substitute for bacon: 6 slices (crispy, crumbled)
- Heavy cream: 1 cup
- Parmesan cheese: 1 cup, freshly grated
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper: To taste
Instructions
- Cook the Tortellini
Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook tortellini according to package instructions (3-5 minutes fresh, 7-9 minutes frozen). Drain and set aside. - Prepare the Smoky Substitute
In a skillet, cook until crisp. Transfer to paper towels, crumble, and set aside. - Make the Alfredo Sauce
Using the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, and gradually add Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. - Combine Ingredients
Add cooked tortellini and smoky substitute to the sauce. Toss gently to coat evenly. - Garnish and Serve
Serve hot, garnished with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
