  • Yield: Serves 4

Description

A quick and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender tortellini, crispy bacon, and a velvety Parmesan Alfredo sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion!

Ingredients

  • Tortellini: 2 cups, fresh or frozen (cheese-filled preferred)
  • Non-alcoholic smoky substitute for bacon: 6 slices (crispy, crumbled)
  • Heavy cream: 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese: 1 cup, freshly grated
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper: To taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini
Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook tortellini according to package instructions (3-5 minutes fresh, 7-9 minutes frozen). Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Smoky Substitute
In a skillet, cook until crisp. Transfer to paper towels, crumble, and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce
Using the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, and gradually add Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine Ingredients
Add cooked tortellini and smoky substitute to the sauce. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Garnish and Serve
Serve hot, garnished with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
