  • Author: Charlotte Flores
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bites 1x

Description

Savory bacon and juicy sausage come together in these bite-sized delights, glazed with sweet maple syrup and a hint of black pepper. Perfect for parties, brunch, or as a snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage links or patties, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: Chopped chives for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prep:
    • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Assemble the Bites:
    • Cut bacon strips into halves or thirds. Wrap each sausage piece with a strip of bacon and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Add Glaze and Seasoning:
    • Drizzle half the maple syrup over the bites and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
  • Bake to Perfection:
    • Bake for 10 minutes, then drizzle the remaining maple syrup over the bites. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and golden.
  • Serve:
    • Let the bites cool slightly before transferring to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped chives, if desired, and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble the bites ahead of time and refrigerate. Add syrup and bake just before serving.
  • Variation: Swap breakfast sausages for chicken sausage or plant-based alternatives for a lighter or vegetarian version.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for crispiness.
