Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 9-inch round baking pans by greasing them lightly with oil or lining them with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined. Sifting the dry ingredients helps avoid clumps and ensures even distribution.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients:
    In a separate bowl, mix together the plant-based milk, vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil), apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully combined.
  • Create Batter:

  • Bake the Cakes:
