  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around edges but still soft in the middle; cool on wire racks.
  6. In a mixing bowl, beat powdered sugar, heavy cream, and orange zest until smooth for the filling.
  7. Once cooled, spread or pipe the orange cream between two cookies to create sandwiches.
