Ingredients

Scale

2 skin-on fresh salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1 cup heavy cream

¼ cup parsley (finely chopped)

¼ cup basil (finely chopped)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare ingredients by rinsing and patting dry the salmon fillets, mincing the garlic, and chopping the herbs.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.

In the same pan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add heavy cream and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in herbs and lemon juice, seasoning to taste.

Return salmon to the sauce and let it absorb flavors before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the salmon in olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for 30 minutes prior to cooking.

You can substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter version or coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
