Ingredients
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Combine with the melted chocolate mixture.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; fold into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Chill dough for at least 30 minutes. Scoop onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Chill your dough to prevent spreading and ensure a thicker cookie. Experiment with fillings like caramel or peanut butter for added flavor.
