Ingredients
2 cups glutinous rice
1 can (400ml) full-fat coconut milk
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional toppings: latik or toasted coconut flakes
Instructions
Rinse and soak glutinous rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight. Drain.
In a large bowl, mix soaked rice, coconut milk, brown sugar, and salt until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously for about 10-15 minutes until thickened.
Pour into a greased rectangular baking dish and steam for 30-40 minutes until set.
Allow cooling for 15-20 minutes before cutting into squares.
