Ingredients
- Chicken Breast: 1 lb (450 g), cut into bite-sized pieces
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper: 2–3 tsp
- Soy Sauce: 3 tbsp, low-sodium
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Cornstarch: 1 tbsp, mixed with water
- Bell Pepper: 1 medium, sliced
- Vegetable Oil: 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken
- Combine soy sauce, black pepper, minced garlic, and cornstarch slurry in a bowl. Add chicken pieces, toss to coat, and marinate for 15–30 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 5–6 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Bell Peppers
- In the same skillet, sauté bell peppers for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Combine and Serve
- Return chicken to the skillet, pour in the reserved marinade, and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve hot with steamed rice.
