Ingredients
- Chocolate Chips: 1 cup semi-sweet, divided
- Peanut Butter: ½ cup creamy, divided
- Caramels: 14 oz, melted
- Crispy Rice Cereal: 3 cups
- Chopped Peanuts: 1 cup roasted
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
- Make the Chocolate Base:
- Melt ½ cup chocolate chips and ¼ cup peanut butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread half the mixture into the prepared pan and set aside the rest.
- Mix Caramel Layer:
- Combine melted caramels, crispy rice cereal, and chopped peanuts in a large bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Spread this mixture over the chocolate base in the pan.
- Add the Final Chocolate Layer:
- Pour the remaining chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the caramel layer, spreading evenly. Sprinkle extra peanuts on top if desired.
- Bake and Cool:
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the edges bubble slightly. Cool at room temperature before slicing into bars.
