Instructions
- Prepare Brownie Layer:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch springform pan.
- Mix sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Spread half the batter into the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
- Make Cheesecake Layer:
- Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Spread cheesecake mixture over the baked brownie layer.
- Bake and Cool:
- Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until edges are set, but the center is slightly wobbly. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Add Caramel and Serve:
- Make caramel sauce by melting sugar, butter, and cream over low heat. Drizzle over chilled cheesecake. Top with whipped cream, nuts, or a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
