For the Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Optional Toppings:

  • Whipped cream, crushed nuts, or sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Brownie Layer:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch springform pan.
    • Mix sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Spread half the batter into the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  2. Make Cheesecake Layer:
    • Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated.
    • Spread cheesecake mixture over the baked brownie layer.
  3. Bake and Cool:
    • Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until edges are set, but the center is slightly wobbly. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Add Caramel and Serve:
    • Make caramel sauce by melting sugar, butter, and cream over low heat. Drizzle over chilled cheesecake. Top with whipped cream, nuts, or a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
