Description

This rich and creamy Maple Nut Fudge combines the deep flavors of pure maple syrup and cocoa powder with the crunch of mixed nuts. It’s the perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness in every bite, creating a decadent treat that’s easy to make and impossible to resist!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts or pecans), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly to prevent sticking.
  • Melt the Butter: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and sweetened condensed milk, stirring until smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Mix the Ingredients: Remove from heat, then stir in the maple syrup, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Set the Fudge: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly. Let it cool at room temperature for about an hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set.
  • Cut and Serve: Once firm, lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares or rectangles. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Flavor Variations: Swap the mixed nuts for other varieties like almonds or cashews for different textures and tastes.
  • For a firmer texture: Let the fudge chill overnight in the fridge.
